Rules & Code of Conduct
Conventions are fun, and BronyScot is no exception! However, we ask that you follow the rules so the convention goes well and, most of all, everyone has a great time! By attending BronyScot, you agree to the convention rules - and that goes for staff and guests too!
Attendee Rules
Do not bring outside food or drink into the venue. However, small bottles of water are permitted.
Do not attempt to purchase alcohol if you are under 18. If you look under 25, you may be asked to show proof of age.
Only vendors are allowed to sell items on the premises.
Weapons are not permitted - be they real, imitation or deactivated.
Assault, harassment, bullying and general nastiness is unwanted and allegations will be dealt with seriously by our staff.
BronyScot is an event for all ages, please behave with consideration for others.
If you are caught damaging the venue or their equipment, you will be asked to leave and be held liable for any costs incurred.
Under 16’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 18.
Please make sure your badge is on display at all times - it is proof that you have bought a ticket. You can exchange damaged badges at reception.
Vendor Specific Rules
Ensure you have legal right to sell the products you are offering. BronyScot cannot be held responsible if you are found to be selling an illegal product.
Do not sell items depicting anything of a sexual or illegal nature - if you are unsure whether an item is inappropriate, ask a member of our team.
Any charges the venue may apply because of damages or other costs caused by vendors will be passed onto vendors.
All decisions made by the Event Committee and the Venue Staff are final. If you are rejected or removed from the venue you will not be liable for a refund or reimbursement and may be blacklisted from future events.
The event will be recorded and photographed. By purchasing a ticket you give us consent to use any material that may feature yourself for promotional reasons and on social media.
Tickets are not directly transferable. However if you would like to pass your ticket on to someone else, please contact us and we’ll see about getting the names transferred.
Refund Policy
We understand that your circumstances may change and you may no longer be able to attend. Should you need to request a refund, please contact us at bronyscot@gmail.com with the subject header “REFUND”.
Depending on the payment method, we may not be able to recover the transaction fee and this will be deducted from your refund.
All refunds within 28 days’ notice of BronyScot 2026 will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. We cannot offer refunds if less than 14 days’ notice has been given.
Vendors may be charged 20% of the full ticket price. This may be waived in exceptional circumstances, at the discretion of the Executive Committee.
As noted in the Convention Rules, the Events Committee and the Venue Staff reserve the right to reject anyone from the venue for misconduct. You will not be entitled to a refund or reimbursement in this case and may be banned from future events.
